International Conference on Leadership: 7-8 December 2009

The 8th International Conference on Studying Leadership was hosted by the Centre for Leadership at the University of Birmingham (CLUB). The theme this year was Leadership in Crisis. The word ‘crisis’ derives from the Greek krisis, signalling a time of risk and opportunity; a time which requires one to decide - krinein. A crisis is a turning point or ‘moment’:  not necessarily something to fear, but something which brings about a change in our way of knowing the world.
